πΊ New Parent Guide: Getting Started with Easley Band
Welcome to the Easley High School Band family β weβre so glad youβre here!
This guide walks you through exactly what to do next so you can stay informed, prepared, and confident going into the season.
β Step 1: Get Connected (Do This First)
Download and set up all required communication tools:
- BoosterHub β booster communication, calendar, sign-ups, payments
- Band App β director communication (call times, real-time updates)
- CutTime β student accounts and balances
- MySchoolBucks β payments
π These are all required for a successful season.
π‘ If itβs important for band, check BoosterHub first.
π Step 2: Know Where to Find Information
Youβll receive information from multiple places:
- BoosterHub β announcements, calendar, volunteer sign-ups
- Band App β director communications; day-of updates and timing changes
- CutTime β financials and student accounts
- Website + Social Media β general updates and reminders
π Check regularly β band moves fast and schedules can change quickly.
π΅ Step 3: Understand Fees & Payments
Required costs for Fall 2026:
- Program Fee: $500
- Meal Fee: $50
- $100 commitment fee due May 15
- Remaining payments due monthly (JulyβNovember)
π‘ Fees cover:
- Uniforms, travel, staff, show design, props, meals, competitions
π Scholarships and assistance are available β apply here!
π Step 4: Make Sure Your Student Has What They Need
Required items include:
- Summer uniform (shirt provided; student supplies black shorts, tennis shoes, black belt)
- Show shirt (provided)
- Compression gear (recommended 2 pairs of white or skin-tone)
- Long socks (multiple pairs recommended, white for competitions)
π Full checklist will be provided β but donβt wait on the basics.
β° Step 5: Understand Weekly Expectations
- Practice: 4β7 PM (Mon, Tues, Thurs)
- Students should be early and ready to go
- Absences must be reported using the absence form

π Step 6: Know What Competition Days Look Like
- Full-day events (travel + performance + awards)
- Late return times are normal
- Detailed schedules are shared before each event
π Parents are encouraged to attend and support.
π€ Step 7: Get Involved (This Matters A LOT)
Our program runs on parent support.
Ways to help:
- Volunteer at events and competitions
- Donate items (water, snacks, ice, etc.)
- Help with concessions, props, meals, or transportation
- Fill out the Committee Interest Form here!

π Step 8: Understand Key Events
Tournament of Champions (TOC)
- Our biggest event and fundraiser
- Requires significant parent support
- Families are asked to volunteer at least 4 hours
- Saturday, September 26, 2026
π§ Step 9: Learn Key Terms (Quick Basics)
- Call Time β when students must arrive (early and ready)
- Load Time β when parents help load equipment
- Camp Day β all-day rehearsal with guest clinicians
- TOC β major home competition and fundraiser

Before participating, students must complete:
